The Effect on Efficient Time-use Intervention on Depression and Quality of Life in Spinal Cord Injury-A Case Study

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was identify the effects on efficient time-use intervention on depression and quality of life in spinal cord injury.

Method: The participant of this study K-hospital in Daegu, 22-year-old man who have receive inpatient efficient time-use intervention with C5.6 tetraplegia(ASIA C). Participant receive intervention for total 16 weeks. Before and after the intervention to compare time-use was assessed using Occupational Questionnaire(OQ), depression was assessed by Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), and quality of life was assessed by World Health Organization Quality Of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF).

Results: Time use of participant improved work, leisure, reduced rest, and no change activities of daily living. Depression and quality of life was significant differences could be identified.

Conclusions: Efficient time-use intervention decrease depression and improve quality of life and participate in meaningful occupation, therefore, is expected to be useful in clinics.
